ChokChai Mookata @ Ang Mo Kio

I'm sure you're no stranger to Mookata - the thai bbq that is becoming increasingly popular in Singapore. I love Mookata!!! Because when marinated properly, the meat tastes so good! Mookata loosely translates from Thai, meaning 'pork' and 'skillet'.

I had the chance to try out ChokChai Mookata which is located in the Ang Mo Kio neighbourhood, and I'm wow-ed over by the affordable price and delicious food!

Their set menus are the most value-for-money where you can get a set for 2-3 at only $28, and a set for 4-5 at $45. The set includes a variety of food including Thai black pepper chicken, Thai garlic lean meat, pork belly, prawn, sotong, scallop, porkball, crabstick, fishball, hotdog, xiao bai cai, cabbage, golden mushroom, sweet corn, carrot, tang hoon and egg!

Alternatively, you can order ala-carte which is priced at S$3.00 for thai black pepper chicken, lean meat and pork belly. Beef slices are available with separate pricing. Thai instant noodles can be added at $1 per portion as well.

I love that the meat are well-marinated and so tasty! Even though I can't take spicy food, I still found the chili sauces (they have two kinds, one red and one green) very delicious! It's their own recipe which they have refined after mixing and matching various sauces, and it goes really well with the food. The seafood were very fresh,  and the soup is really tasty! It gets even tastier (though a little salty as with all bbq soup bases) after everything is cooked.

ChokChai Mookata is situated at Blk 340 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 Singapore 560340. It's nice to know that no GST or service fee will be charged as well! Recommended for a hearty dinner with friends or family.

Thank you my fellow bloggers for taking time off to come down for a tasting session, and thank you also to ChokChai Mookata for having us over! We really enjoyed the food!
